A new offering in 2011, Salon jackets are loose, flowing jackets which use a slight twist in the construction to shape the lower hem and sleeves. Using variegated yarn and slight differences in warp and weft, the single piece of fabric becomes a loose and comfy jacket, perfect to wear over a solid camisole or turtle neck. Simple enough to wear everyday, it can dress up a set of jeans over a nice shirt with its flow.
Handwoven elegance, this evening wrap is perfect for a night out at the symphony or a cocktail party. The cotton blend fibers are the perfect weight for a light coverup in cool weather or chilly evenings. The Shimmer Shawl uses ladder yarn with cotton blend fibers to cover up cool shoulders or wrap up on a chilly night. Dressy and warm without a lot of bulk, this evening wrap goes well over jackets and cocktail dresses, and shimmers beautifully under the light.
In size, our shawls vary from 36" by 60" to 72" and are finished with knotted fringe.
Other wraps and shawls are available without the ladder yarn, but all are hand woven with the attention to detail that makes each piece fashionable, wearable art.

Scarves are perfect accent pieces, whether you're looking for a dash of color around the neck or a warm accessory that's functional as well as beautiful. We make several kinds of scarves: chenille, wool blend, beaded and hooded scarves.
These gorgeous scarves dress up any jacket with the soft, shiny look of chenille’s unique fiber texture. Instead of dressing for warmth, use these scarves, in our shorter and longer lengths, to complement a dark coat with a splash of color around the neck, the varied tones of the fiber catching the light and changing as you move.
We weave these scarves thinner than our wool and cotton blend scarves in order to make a piece that can be worn throughout the year. However, the tight weave we use with these fibers and their soft feel makes them perfect for use in the winter to keep the wind from your neck and shoulders.
Most of our chenille pieces are between 5” and 7” in width and could even be used as a belt. Typically the length varies between 48"-70". Each scarf is finished with knotted ends and fringe.
Beaded Scarves
Our beaded scarves, created in wool blends, cotton/poly blends and some chenille, add a sparkle of color and shine with beads set in at random in a short section at each end of the scarf. Some beaded scarves are more muted, with beads following the colors of the scarf itself while others use the beads as a complementary color to bring out undertones and hues from the warp and weft. They wear beautifully and the beads act as a wonderful textural complement to the scarves.
These scarves have a small, finished slit in one end of the scarf, allowing you to tuck the other end into it, securing it on the neck or head and giving the scarf a slight hood. It's perfect for cold winter nights when you need something to wrap around the head but want a to go a little dressier than a plain hat.

Our beautiful wool blend scarves are hand-crafted to perfection. A subtle interplay of wool, mohair and rayon fibers in the warp interact with the various warm weft threads we weave between them. In planning each warp, we look for varying textures and fibers that blend together – some yarn has loops or twists, while other threads might impart shine or subtle texture variations. We are most creative in our colors with scarves, more so than any other product
The length of the scarves varies, but we have shorter pieces that range from 10”x36-48” and longer pieces from 10”x 60-72”. Each scarf is finished with knotted ends and fringe.
We weave wool scarves loose so that they may drape well around the neck and over or under coats.
The subtle coloring of wool rugs lends an understated elegance to any room. Woven in a sturdy cotton blend warp, our wool rugs wear well and look fantastic against slate or hardwood flooring. Many of our clients prefer wool rugs because of the warmth they impart to rooms, both in the nature of their fiber and their simple design. They hold their shape through multiple washes and wear well in high traffic areas.
Our pieces vary in size from 26 to 36"- 48" in length and are made of wool wefts with cotton warps. Each rug is handknotted to finish the fringe complete the rustic look of the piece.
While beautiful enough to hang on your wall, our rag rugs are sturdy enough for years of use on your floor as an area or accent rug. The uniqueness of each rug is ensured by the fact that the weft is made of rag remaindered fabric, usually with only enough to make a handful of similar pieces. While some rugs are a simple tabby weave, others employ an overweave technique that highlights vertical and horizontal stripes in the warp. Both look fantastic on hardwood floors and as accent pieces on carpeted areas. We keep several on our walls at home to bring texture and color to our decorating style.
Our placemats measure 14" by 18" and are made of cotton blends.
We’ve been weaving for almost 40 years. We started in the 70’s, taking and eventually teaching classes at the Little Loom House in Louisville, KY.
We began with simple products, placemats, scarves and simple household items, and developed a broad repertoire of items we’ve displayed in juried crafts fairs throughout Indiana, Kentucky and Tennessee. Weaving began as a hobby, but over the years, it’s been transformed into a creative, artistic outlet that allows us to produce elegant, quality items to share with others in the community. We don’t yet have both feet in the information age, but our children helped us build a site to share with our customers, friends and family so that we could reach as many people as possible with the pleasure of our products.
The kids would tell you we started weaving with our youngest child and never stopped. As they grew, they helped with producing products, preparing looms and weaving through the summer, and traveling with us to display and sell our products throughout the season. They still remember rolling around in the back of a blue Econoline van in the eighties, taking naps and running errands while we worked our booths at crafts fairs.
As life-long educators, we’ve spent a great deal of time working with the community. We’ve received grants from the states of Indiana and Kentucky to open schoolchildren to the wonders of weaving. We’ve worked with the mentally and physically disabled to provide a structured creative outlet at the Rauch Center in New Albany Indiana. We’ve demonstrated the craft of handweaving and spinning at numerous community fairs and presentations. By coaching and communicating with a number of hand-weavers in the area, we’ve been able to keep in touch with a strong and seasoned group of artists who have made their own journeys from hobby to business over the years.
We have a short walk to work each morning as our production studio is in our home. We have one large floor loom we use for rugs, placemats and wide garment fabric. We have several smaller floor looms and even a few table looms we use for weaving. Since we’re known in the community as weavers, occasionally, someone will have us “adopt” a loom for a few months while we work to find a new home for it. And sometimes, we come across additional looms in yard sales. Each loom has its own character and works best for weaving certain types of fabric. For several years, we have attempted to send our children home with the smaller table looms, but after growing up glued to the loom as children, they prefer to leave the looms with us and just come visiting.
